Is the AP US History exam digital?
Yes. AP United States History is fully digital: every section, including the essays, is taken in the Bluebook app. This practice test simulates the multiple-choice section only.
What do the APUSH multiple-choice questions look like?
Every question belongs to a set of three or four built on one source, such as a speech, a party platform or a historian's argument. The questions ask about the source's context, causes and effects, comparisons and later developments, so you need both the source and your knowledge of the period.
Which periods does APUSH multiple choice cover?
Nine periods from 1491 to the present. Periods 3 to 8 (1754 to 1980) carry 10-17% each, and Periods 1, 2 and 9 carry 4-8%. This practice test follows those weights: 3 to 8 questions per period in fifteen source sets, with public domain documents quoted exactly and some historians' passages written for this test.
How many multiple-choice questions are on the AP United States History exam?
The multiple-choice section has 55 questions in 55 minutes and counts for 40% of the exam score.
Does this practice test give me an AP score?
No. It reports how many questions you got right and the percentage. The AP score of 1 to 5 also depends on the free-response section, which is not included, and the College Board does not publish the cut scores for each form.
Is there a penalty for wrong answers?
No. AP multiple choice is scored on correct answers only, so answer every question.
Is AxoPrep official?
