What this practice test gives you

Every question is original and written to the published course framework, with four choices and one defensible answer. After you submit you see how many you got right, the percentage, and an explanation for every question that names the most tempting wrong answer. You do not get an AP score: the free-response section is not included and the College Board publishes no cut scores for its forms. Format and units.

Frequently asked questions

What changed in AP Statistics for 2027?

The course was revised into five units, the multiple-choice section grew from 40 to 42 questions and each question now has four choices instead of five. The exam is fully digital in the Bluebook app. Geometric distributions, chi-square goodness of fit and inference for slopes were removed from the course.

Are there question sets in the AP Statistics multiple-choice section?

Yes. Two sets of three questions each share one scenario: one set on probability and random variables, one on regression. This practice test includes both kinds.

Do I need statistical tables for this practice test?

No. A calculator helps, but every critical value or normal probability a question needs is printed in the question itself.

How many multiple-choice questions are on the AP Statistics exam?

The multiple-choice section has 42 questions in 90 minutes and counts for 50% of the exam score.

Does this practice test give me an AP score?

No. It reports how many questions you got right and the percentage. The AP score of 1 to 5 also depends on the free-response section, which is not included, and the College Board does not publish the cut scores for each form.

Is there a penalty for wrong answers?

No. AP multiple choice is scored on correct answers only, so answer every question.

Is AxoPrep official?

No. AxoPrep is not affiliated with the College Board. AP is a trademark of the College Board. Every question here is original.
